Two Year Olds Classroom

Untitled

Twos Class Ratio: 2:13

This class is open to children 2 years old by September 1st.

As this is often a child’s first exposure to school and separation from parents, we provide a warm, nurturing Jewish environment where children learn to discover the magic of the world around them and take pride in their accomplishments.

Our two’s program encourages the first steps towards independence. Children adjust easily to the routines of school. This program emphasizes the importance of working together. Our two-year-olds begin the year focusing on “the world around them.” They explore families, friendships, emotions and body parts.

We emphasize development of fine-motor skills through finger painting, gluing, tearing, crumpling paper and building with blocks. Gross motor skills like hopping, skipping, jumping, dancing and balancing are developed in this program as well. Toilet training is also encouraged in the two’s class.

The children participate in morning circle time where new concepts, Jewish holidays, Judaic concepts are introduced. This is also a time where communication and language skills are developed.
